Gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu Passes Away

Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the popular Yoruba gospel duo, Adegbodu Twins, has passed away.

The sad news was shared on Sunday, March 1. Through a post on the group’s official Facebook page, managed by their team.

In an emotional statement. The family expressed their heartbreak over his sudden death, describing it as a deeply painful and unbearable loss.

Fellow gospel artist, Esther Igbekele, also confirmed the news on her Instagram page. She posted a tribute in Yoruba, along with a photo of Taiwo.

Taiwo Adegbodu performed alongside his twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu. The duo gained fame in the Yoruba gospel music scene after releasing their debut album, Faratimi (Lean on Me), in 1999.

Over the years, the Adegbodu Twins became beloved for their spiritually uplifting and culturally rich music. Earning a devoted following within the Christian music community.
