Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chiefpriest, says he does not regret contesting for the House of Representatives ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite losing the primary election in Imo state.

In a video released after the primary election and now circulating on social media, the celebrity barman expressed disappointment over the outcome of the exercise.

“I’m a hustler, and I don’t regret trying to contest for a position,” he said.

“My only regret was trusting the elders in the community.”

The Nigerian socialite and businessman also claimed that despite his financial support for some community leaders, he secured only 14 votes in the primary.

“I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me,” he said.

ALO 360 reported that Chukwugozie Nwachukwu, the incumbent lawmaker, won the APC primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat.

Cubana Chiefpriest rose to prominence in political circles after emerging as the south-east coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a support group backing the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Earlier, the socialite had announced on Instagram that he purchased the APC House of Representatives nomination form worth N10 million to contest in the 2027 general election.
