Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has consoled Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, following his defeat in the House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo state.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Seyi Tinubu encouraged the celebrity barman not to be discouraged by the outcome of the election.

“Bro sometimes by losing a battle, you find a way to win the war,” he wrote.

“Keep your head up, Cubana Chiefpriest. We know what you’re capable of achieving.”

Cubana Chiefpriest lost the APC primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat to Chukwugozie Nwachukwu, the incumbent lawmaker.

Reacting after the election, the socialite said he had no regrets about contesting for the position.

“I’m a hustler, and I don’t regret trying to contest for a position,” he said in a viral video.

“My only regret was trusting the elders in the community.”

He also claimed that despite the support he gave to community leaders, he secured only 14 votes in the primary.

“I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me,” he said.

Cubana Chiefpriest gained political visibility after emerging as the south-east coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a support group backing Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Earlier, the celebrity barman announced on Instagram that he purchased the APC House of Representatives nomination form worth N10 million to contest in the 2027 general election.
