Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has shared the surprising story of how she met her husband. According to her, God revealed on the very first day they met that he would become her husband. Yet, despite that strong conviction, she later blocked him.
During a recent interview with DANG, Ruth explained that marriage was never a major goal for her. Unlike many people, she did not spend time dreaming about weddings or married life. She simply focused on her career and personal growth. She also joked that anyone who married her would be lucky because she knew her worth.
The actress revealed that they first met at work when her future husband approached her for a conversation. At first, she was not interested in him. However, she eventually gave him a chance. Their discussion moved from business to importation and even life in Vietnam. Then, as she was leaving, she felt God clearly tell her that he was the man she would marry.
Interestingly, Ruth blocked him just two days later. Even so, he refused to give up and found a way to reconnect with her. At the time, she was already in another relationship. Despite that, their connection continued to grow. Four months after they met, he proposed, and she accepted. Looking back, Ruth said sharing parts of their journey publicly helped her stay committed to the relationship that eventually led to marriage.
