Nigerian singer and songwriter Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, has sparked widespread speculation after appearing with what fans believe is a baby bump in a new music video released by her husband, Adekunle Gold.
The video, titled My Love Is The Same, was released on Wednesday and features intimate family moments involving Adekunle Gold, Simi, and their five-year-old daughter, Adejare Kosoko, fondly called Deja.
Throughout the visuals, the couple share relaxed scenes at home, during car rides, and on playful outings. As a result, fans quickly noticed Simi’s appearance and began suggesting that the couple may be expecting their second child.
Fans React as Simi Fuels Speculation
Although neither Simi nor Adekunle Gold has confirmed the pregnancy, reactions spread rapidly across social media. Many fans sent congratulatory messages shortly after the video premiered.
Meanwhile, Simi shared the video link on her X page and posted a lyric from the song that further stirred conversation.
“Mo fe bi’mo meji, will you be the father…” she wrote alongside the YouTube link.
Adekunle Gold Celebrates Love and Family
Adekunle Gold also promoted the video on his social media platforms. He described the song as a celebration of love, home, and gratitude.
“No matter where I go, my home is the same… my love is the same,” he wrote. “I’m grateful for my blessings and grateful to capture these moments with my favourite people.”
He added, “My Love Is The Same 💙💜 Out Now.”
The song forms part of Adekunle Gold’s October 2025 album Fuji, which explores themes of unwavering love despite distance and demanding schedules.
Fans Link Video to ‘Duduke’ Era
In addition, fans linked the new visuals to Simi’s 2020 hit Duduke, which she released while pregnant with their daughter. Consequently, the similarities strengthened speculation around a possible second pregnancy.
The buzz also follows recent criticism Simi faced online over comments about her age and fertility. The remarks drew backlash and later forced a public apology from the user involved.
Simi and Adekunle Gold married in 2019 and welcomed their first child in 2020. Since the release of the video, congratulatory messages have continued to pour in as fans await confirmation from the couple.
