World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua will spend New Year’s Eve at the Duchess Luxury Hospital following his involvement in a fatal road accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. Medical sources said doctors admitted the boxer for observation and further care after he sustained minor injuries.
Although Joshua’s injuries are not life-threatening, doctors advised continued monitoring due to the impact of the crash.

The accident occurred on Monday near Makun, Ogun State, close to the Sagamu Interchange on the Ibadan-bound lane. Eyewitnesses said the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua collided with a stationary truck along the highway.
Furthermore, reports confirmed that the crash involved a two-vehicle convoy. Joshua reportedly sat behind the driver at the time of the incident.
