JAMB Pays Over ₦1.5 Billion to CBT Centres as Registration Fees for 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disbursed more than ₦1.5 billion to accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Nigeria as payment for registration services for the 2026 UTME Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

The payment represents part of the board’s commitment to ensuring smooth operations. For the nationwide examination process and compensating CBT centres that assist candidates with registration and related services.

Supporting Examination Infrastructure

CBT centres play a crucial role in the UTME process, handling candidate registration, biometric verification. And other technical requirements necessary for the examination. The funds paid by JAMB cover the service charges for thousands of candidates who completed their registration at these centres.

By releasing the payments, the examination body aims to maintain efficient collaboration. Also with accredited centres while encouraging continued compliance with registration standards.
