The Charlie Kirk shooting has taken a new turn after court documents revealed that suspect Tyler Robinson allegedly wrote a letter outlining his intent before the attack.

Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder in the death of Charlie Kirk.

According to investigators, Robinson sent a message to his boyfriend on September 10, 2025, instructing him to check under a keyboard for a handwritten note.

In the letter, Robinson allegedly stated he had “the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk” and acted on it. He also wrote that he expected to either die or face a long prison sentence.

The shooting occurred during a public event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Kirk, 31, was addressing students as part of his national speaking tour when he was shot and killed. He was the founder of Turning Point USA.

After the shooting, Robinson allegedly fled, prompting a large-scale manhunt before surrendering the following day. He now faces multiple charges, including firearm offenses, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. He has not entered a plea.

The case has drawn widespread attention due to Kirk’s political influence and the setting of the attack.
