Israel DMW, Davido’s aide, has joined the singer in criticizing Sophia Momodu’s lawyer.
Two days ago, it was reported that Davido allegedly lost his temper in court. Lawyer Maruf Muhammed shared on Twitter that the singer was present at a Yaba courtroom, where he became upset during cross-examination, causing a commotion.
Davido later clarified that he never requested full custody of his daughter but instead sought joint custody. He revealed that he had decided to drop the case and assured his daughter that she would grow up knowing he fought for her.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, Davido warned the public to be cautious of women who appear overly religious. He claimed their minds are often calculating and insensitive to others’ feelings when they cause harm. He also called out Sophia Momodu’s lawyer, labeling them as “wicked and useless.”
“Fear women who carry churches on their heads like Cross. Their minds are always deep. They don’t care how you feel when they’re about to hurt you. Wicked and useless lawyer,” he wrote.
To recap, in 2024, Davido filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of his daughter, Imade. He accused Sophia of denying him access to their child and extorting money from him—claims she denied. A week later, Sophia opposed his custody request, citing the tragic loss of Davido’s son and other reasons as evidence that he was unfit to raise their daughter alone.
