The National Conscience Party (NCP) has made a strong appeal to Nigerians ahead of the next general elections. The party warned citizens to be cautious when deciding who should lead the country. They argued that the current government has not delivered on key promises to improve the economy.
In its statement, the NCP claimed that the administration’s policies have resulted in deeper hardship. They described the rising cost of living, high inflation, and growing insecurity as evidence that urgent change is needed.
The party said Nigerians must think critically before voting and use their power to demand a better future. According to them, a second term for this administration would worsen current challenges.
“Wake Up,” NCP Tells the Nation
The NCP also urged people to “wake up” and take control of the country’s democratic process. They called on voters to hold leaders accountable, not just at election time, but every day.
“This is a turning point for Nigeria. The people must decide what kind of nation they want. Democracy only works when citizens act,” the party stated.
The NCP’s message is a call to action, not just a criticism. The party also encouraged Nigerian youth to play an active role in politics. They pointed out that young people make up a large part of the population and have the power to reshape the nation’s future.
Voters Must Demand Accountability
The NCP stressed that leadership must be earned through service and results. They believe Nigerians should ask tough questions of anyone seeking public office.
They added that focusing only on party loyalty would not bring progress. Instead, they urged citizens to vote for leaders who reflect their values and address their suffering.
As the 2027 elections approach, discussions around governance, accountability, and leadership are intensifying. It remains to be seen how widely the NCP’s message will resonate. But one thing is clear: the call for political awareness is growing louder.
