Ogala’s response followed Okafor’s apology during a church service at the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries on Sunday, December 28, 2025, amid an ongoing public controversy.

Pastor Chris apologises during sermon

Earlier reports said Pastor Okafor apologised to Ogala and others he may have offended while addressing his congregation. During the sermon, he admitted that mistakes were made, although he denied several allegations levelled against him.

The cleric has faced claims from Ogala, including allegations of a past romantic relationship, breach of promise, and the alleged sharing of explicit images involving his daughters. He rejected those claims in the apology video.

However, reacting via her Instagram page, Ogala welcomed the apology and urged the pastor not to kneel publicly. She wrote, “Chris Okafor, please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted.”

Nevertheless, she added that she took issue with Okafor’s assertion that all allegations were lies. According to her, that part of the apology raised concerns.

Ogala stated that she forgave the pastor but could not accept being labelled dishonest. She wrote, “I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie.”

The exchange has continued to attract attention on social media, with mixed reactions from supporters of both parties. Neither side has indicated whether further legal or personal steps will follow.
