A fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday at Sawmill Garage in the Odo-Okun area of Ilorin, Kwara State. The flames destroyed two vehicles before firefighters brought the situation under control.
The incident occurred at the motor park, a hub for commercial transportation and trading activities in the state capital. Residents and motorists in the area woke up to thick smoke and the sound of crackling flames.
The fire damaged part of the garage and consumed two vehicles parked at the location. The cause of the outbreak remained unclear as of press time.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and worked to contain the blaze. They prevented the flames from spreading to other parts of the motor park and nearby structures.
