Unknown gunmen abducted Hamza Musa Durba, Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area in Kano State, from his residence in Dinya town. As reported by ALO360, the attackers executed the operation during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Abduction
Six armed men arrived at Durba’s residence in Dinya town around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. The assailants stormed the house while the secretary slept and whisked him away to an unknown location. Furthermore, the gunmen operated without firing a single shot throughout the raid.
The Confirmation
Hon. Sabo Yusuf Usman, Speaker of the Kibiya Local Government Council, confirmed the incident to journalists. He stated that the attack occurred while the official slept in his home.
“The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. while the secretary was asleep in his house,” Usman said.
The Method of Operation
The gunmen gained access to the residence through a deceptive tactic. They coerced Durba’s son, who was sleeping in the outer compound, to trick his father into opening the door.According to Usman, the attackers forced the boy to knock on his father’s door under the pretext of seeking help.”
After he knocked, his father asked who it was, and he replied that it was his son. When asked what the problem was, he said he had a stomach ache. The father then opened the door, and the gunmen immediately seized him along with the son,” Usman explained.
The gunmen later released the boy but fled the scene with the secretary before security operatives could respond.
