Nigerian-American actress and TV host Idia Aisien recently shared her experiences with dating. Revealing how shke spent large sums of money supporting her ex-partners, only to face disappointment in the end.
During a candid conversation with media personality Toke Makinwa, Aisien opened up about financially helping the men she dated, hoping it would lead to lasting, committed relationships.
She Stated
“I spent millions on men,” she confessed. “If a guy told me his business was struggling, I’d give him a couple of millions. At the time, I was dating with marriage in mind, so I didn’t want my partner to face financial difficulties. I wanted to help him invest in his goals.”
Idia Aisien explained that her intentions were rooted in the belief that supporting a partner during tough times would create a foundation of mutual care and respect.
“I thought that if you help a guy when he’s down, he’d be there for you when he succeeds. I believed the way you treat someone reflects how they’ll treat you in the future,” she said.
Aisien also shared a heartbreaking story about a former boyfriend she had supported financially, only to discover he had traveled to Dubai with another woman.
“At first, he said his phone wasn’t working,” she recalled. “But then my brother told me he saw him with another woman, and there were even photos. When I confronted him, he first claimed his friends pressured him to go, then later said it was for business.”
Reflecting on her past, Idia Aisien admitted that betrayal has shaped her views on love and relationships.
“Betrayal in relationships is something I’ve experienced,” she said.
Idia Aisien, who is also a model, first gained fame as a host on lifestyle shows like You Got Issues and Style 101 on Spice TV. She later transitioned into acting, building a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
