Pastor Chris Okafor Withdraws Apology to Actress Doris Ogala and Others

Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, has taken back his apology to actress Doris Ogala and other women he accused of wronging in the past.

To recap, in December last year, just before Pastor Okafor got married, actress Doris Ogala publicly accused him of using and dumping her. Other similar accusations soon followed. In response, Pastor Chris Okafor issued an apology to Ogala and the other women before stepping down temporarily from his church leadership role.

Weeks later, he returned to the church, receiving a warm welcome from his congregation. However, during recent church service, Pastor Okafor announce that he withdrawing his apology, claiming it had misunderstood.

He Explained He Apologised under Pressure

In a video from the service, he explained that he had apologized under pressure from prominent religious leaders, including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo of Kingsway International Christian Centre and Bishop David Abioye of Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly.

Pastor Chris Okafor clarified his stance, saying:
“The reason I apologized earlier because the fathers of faith who support me were been drag into the issue. I didn’t want their names involved. But let me make this clear: I withdraw that apology. I cannot apologize for something I didn’t do or for someone I don’t even know. That apology was a mistake, made under pressure from people I thought were friends.”

He added, “When I apologized, I mentioned the fathers of faith like Pastor Matthew and Bishop Abioye. I did it to protect their names, not because I was guilty. Sometimes, you concede a battle to win the war.”

Pastor Okafor also addressed the backlash on social media, saying, “Forget the noise online. The truth will come out in due time. I only apologized to the church and the fathers of faith—not to any Jezebel or anyone else. Everything said about me is false.”

He further emphasized that the matter is now in court and that he cannot apologize for an ongoing legal case.
“There’s no apology from me. If anyone thinks otherwise, let me be clear—it’s withdrawn. The case in court, and my evidence has submitted. If anyone has proof, they should present it in court. Let the court decide who is telling the truth.”

Pastor Chris Okafor concluded by saying, “That’s all I have to say for now. When the court rules, we’ll know the truth. Thank you, and God bless.”
