U.S. President Donald Trump recently made headlines for praising rapper Nicki Minaj during the Black History Month Reception at the White House.
While speaking at the event in Washington, D.C., Trump complimented the Young Money artist, calling her “beautiful” and expressing his admiration.
“How about Nicki Minaj? Do we love Nicki Minaj? I love Nicki,” Trump said enthusiastically. “She was here a couple of weeks ago. She’s so beautiful. I told her, ‘Nicki, you’re so beautiful.’ Her nails were so long—I asked, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ She didn’t want to answer that, but she was amazing. She’s beautiful, she’s great, and most importantly, she gets it.”
In celebration of Presidents’ Day on Monday (Feb. 16), Minaj shared a playful, AI-generated photo on social media. The image showed her riding in a convertible with Trump, counting stacks of money.
Previously, in the past week Nicki Minaj has shared her thoughts on transgender issues.
She expressed that while she believes everyone has the right to make their own choices, she does not support gender-affirming surgeries for minors.
In a discussion with Katie Miller, Nicki stated that she fully supports transgender adults who want control over their own bodies, saying, “More power to them.”
