Social media influencer Blessing CEO is facing an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud case in Lagos. On Monday, October 12, a prosecution witness told the court how he allegedly paid her for a five-year property lease.
Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, the first prosecution witness, testified before Justice R. A. Oshodi at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja. He claimed Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, presented the property as hers.
Witness Details ₦69.15m Property Lease
According to Okeigwe, he paid ₦69,150,000 to lease a property at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki. The lease allegedly covered five years. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026.
She faces two charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. However, she pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Blessing CEO Allegedly Denied Knowing Mr Tom
During his testimony, Okeigwe said a man identified as Mr Tom arrived with police officers and allegedly arrested some of his workers. He said,
“I informed the defendant, and she claimed she did not know Mr Tom. I paid N100,000 to secure the release of my workers. Blessing still maintained that she did not know Mr Tom and that she was the owner of the property.”
Okeigwe also identified WhatsApp messages in which Blessing CEO allegedly sent photographs of the building. He added that he paid agency, legal and caution fees.
EFCC Case Continues October 26
Okeigwe further alleged that Blessing CEO collected money from him and another person for the same property. He maintained that she did not own the property despite collecting the payment.
The EFCC alleges that she misrepresented ownership to obtain money from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited. The charge falls under the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act.
Meanwhile, Justice Oshodi adjourned the case until October 26, 2026, for continuation of the trial.
