ICE Boston Officers Arrest Brazilian Murder Fugitive in Targeted Operation

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested a Brazilian fugitive wanted for murder during a targeted operation. Kele Cristian Alves-Pereira, an illegal alien from Brazil, remained in custody pending removal to face justice for her alleged crimes in her home country.

The OperationICE Boston officers and special agents conducted a targeted operation on March 13 in Everett, Massachusetts. They arrested Kele Cristian Alves-Pereira, a fugitive from justice. She had remained at-large while Brazilian authorities sought her for murder charges. The operation succeeded without incident.

Kele Cristian Alves-Pereira faced homicide charges in Brazil. She entered the United States illegally and had evaded capture until the March enforcement action. Subsequently, immigration authorities detained her pending removal proceedings to her home country.

An ICE official emphasized the importance of holding criminals accountable regardless of location. The official stated, “Newsflash: You’re still a criminal regardless of the country you reside in.” This declaration reinforced the agency’s position that international borders do not shield fugitives from prosecution for serious crimes.
