The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has issued new JAMB guidelines for the 2026 UTME registration. The board posted the announcement on its official X page on Sunday. It aims to help candidates prepare early and avoid mistakes.
JAMB urged candidates to confirm their personal details. They must check their National Identification Number, email address, and A-Level records before generating a profile code. Correct details matter because the system pulls information directly from NIMC.
JAMB Guidelines Stress Accurate Data
To start the process, candidates should text their 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019. The board explained that once the profile code appears, it stays linked to the candidate. They must rely on that code throughout the registration.
After receiving the code, candidates should visit a JAMB office or an approved CBT Centre to complete the registration.
Important Instructions for Candidates
JAMB advised candidates to buy E-PINs only from authorised channels such as banks, online vendors, or agents at CBT Centres. Before final submission, candidates should review the registration template and confirm all details.
The board warned that wrong or mismatched information may lead to serious setbacks. It encouraged candidates to follow the JAMB guidelines closely to avoid registration problems.
