Kwara Church Resumes Service & Confirms 38 Abductions

Worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church Oke Isegun in Eruku gathered bravely on Sunday. They held a special service inside the blood-stained auditorium. This act showed their strong faith despite the recent tragedy.

The Deadly Assault

Bandits stormed the church on Tuesday during a service. They killed three people and abducted 38 worshippers. Among the kidnapped, 35 belonged to the church, while three did not. Additionally one survivor now receives treatment in the hospital.

Moreover the attackers demanded a huge ransom at first. They asked for N100 million per victim. However negotiations led to a drop. Now they seek N20 million each, totaling N760 million.

Service Filled with Hope

Pastor Bamidele Lawrence led the Sunday service. He called the attack a test of faith. Furthermore he shared divine promises. He assured everyone that the abducted would return alive soon. This message brought comfort to the grieving crowd.

One member, Elder James Ige, spoke emotionally. Kidnappers took his wife and son. Sadly his son faced abduction before and gained freedom after ransom payment. Now Ige pleads for quick government help.
