Nigeria Is Safe Under Tinubu’s Leadership, Ekwunife Assures Nigerians

Senator Uche Ekwunife addressed APC stakeholders in Awka. She expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu‘s leadership. This meeting occurred on Saturday and focused on the party’s electronic membership registration.

Ekwunife’s Strong Endorsement

Ekwunife declared that Nigeria remained secure under Tinubu. She stated, “Nigeria is in safe hands with President Bola Tinubu.” Additionally, she highlighted Tinubu’s economic policies. These reforms started yielding positive results, she noted.

She endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 election. Ekwunife called him the most formidable candidate. Moreover she praised Vice President Kashim Shettima and First Lady Remi Tinubu. “I had the privilege of serving in the seventh and eighth Senate and had the opportunity to work with Remi Tinubu and Vice President Kassim Shettima, I can tell you that they are good people,” she said.

Call for National Support

Ekwunife urged Nigerians to back the President. She emphasized the need for prayers. “We need to pray for our leaders to get it right where they are not getting it right,” she added. Furthermore she encouraged support for the government’s renewed hope agenda.

APC’s E-Registration Drive

The meeting reviewed the APC’s e-registration exercise. Ekwunife aimed to register over 326,000 new members. She targeted at least 1,000 per ward across 326 wards. This process identified loyal members and strengthened the party for future elections.

Party Chairman Basil Ejidike supported this effort. He described politics as a game of numbers. “The purpose of this gathering is to evaluate participation in the ongoing e-registration exercise and ensure fairness and seriousness,” he explained. He announced incentives for top-performing areas.

Challenges in Anambra Governorship Election

Ekwunife reflected on the 2025 Anambra election. She blamed lack of national support for the loss. “If the party (national) had given us even 20 percent push, we would have gone far,” she remarked. Despite challenges, APC members showed commitment.

However she remained optimistic. Ekwunife vowed to deliver Anambra to APC in 2027. “Anambra APC has come to stay and we will ensure that the party wins elections in 2027,” she promised.

Future Outlook

Moreover Ekwunife confirmed Tinubu’s candidacy for 2027. She stated, “I want to tell you that we already have a candidate for 2027 presidential election, and he is President Bola Tinubu.” The party agreed to support him fully. This endorsement boosted morale among stakeholders.

In addition, the registration coordinator reported 17,488 registrations so far. He urged more effort from members. Top local governments received rewards during the meeting.
