Comedian Seyi Law has stirred reactions with his claim that Nigeria is now safer than it was a decade ago.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, the popular entertainer voiced his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He commended the government for its efforts in tackling the country’s security challenges.
When co-host Daddy Freeze asked if Nigeria is safer today compared to ten years ago, Seyi Law confidently replied, “Nigeria is safer now than 10 years ago.” He explained that the current administration has taken down more bandits than previous governments, including during Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure.
Seyi Law also noted a decline in major terror attacks, suggesting that national security has improved.
However, activist Zekeri, who was also on the podcast, disagreed. He pointed out ongoing security problems, citing recent incidents in the Northeast, a rise in kidnappings, and the deaths of senior military officials as proof that insecurity remains a pressing issue.
