North West Follows Dad’s Kanye West Steps, Signs with Gamma

North West has taken a major step in her music career by reportedly signing a record deal with Gamma. An independent music company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. This is the same label her father, Kanye West, is working with to release his upcoming 12th studio album, Bully, according to Rolling Stone.

North West

The 12-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian recently dropped her debut single, “Piercing on My Hand,”. Which released under North West/Gamma on February 6. The track serves as both a bold style statement. And a response to the buzz around her edgy, alternative fashion choices. The release came shortly after North posted a photo of her hands adorned with dermal piercings, sparking fresh conversations online.

In the song, North raps:
“Shopping in Japan, that’s where I always stand / Went to school two days, then I got banned.”

The track, produced by Kanye and Will Frenchman, was first performed live in January. North and her father took the stage in front of 40,000 fans during a show in Mexico City.
