Miss Christiana Olaitan, an NYSC member assigned to the Oyo State Governor’s Office Protocol Department, has been celebrated as the outstanding corps member of the unit. The recognition came as she completed her service year.
During the presentation, the Director-General, Otunba Samuel Adegboyega, praised her dedication and professionalism. He said her calm attitude and tech skills improved the department’s efficiency.
“She has been active, calm, humble, and contributed meaningfully to every assignment,” Adegboyega said. He highlighted her intelligence and teamwork. According to him, she handled sensitive documents with care. “Anytime I called on her, she delivered.”
A Gesture of Appreciation and Encouragement
Adegboyega explained that the award was his personal way of appreciating her service. He added that a formal celebration would take place later. He admitted they would have loved her to remain, but her service year had ended.
Outstanding Corps Member Grateful for Support
Olaitan expressed joy after receiving the recognition. She thanked the department for the support she enjoyed throughout her posting. She described the experience as rewarding and highlighted her role in major state events, including the Olubadan coronation.
“The experience has been very good. I appreciate the staff, and I pray our relationship continues to grow,” she said. Olaitan noted that she looks forward to new opportunities as she advances in her career.
