Oyedepo Speaks Out on Killings, Calls 7 Days of Prayer

Pastor David Oyedepo of the Winner’s Chapel church frowned at the increased number of deaths and kidnappings in Nigeria. The clergy made this assertion during the 4th Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service conducted on November 23rd, 2025. According to Oyedepo, such deaths go against God’s norms.

Shocking Incidents Highlighted

Oyedepo pointed to recent tragedies. For instance, attackers shot five people dead in a church last week. Additionally kidnappers took 35 worshippers hostage.

They demanded 100 million naira from a small village. Moreover, he noted that human trafficking now thrives as a big business with ransoms up to 700 million naira.

Seven Day Prayer Initiative Launched

In response, Oyedepo declared a seven day prayer period. It starts at midnight tonight. He urged church members and all Christians to pray intensely. Furthermore those baptized in the Holy Ghost must join in spiritual warfare. This effort aims to invoke divine help and end the bloodshed.

Curses on Perpetrators Pronounced

Oyedepo cursed the killers and their sponsors. He vowed that they face divine judgment within seven days. As a result, he predicted catastrophes in the enemies’ camp. He also instructed followers to anoint their homes and workplaces for protection.

Church Stands Firm Against Threats

The bishop affirmed the church’s strength. He stated that the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. Nigeria will never become an Islamic state, he declared. Instead, the battle rages against Islamic jihadists. Yet believers hold higher authority.

Call to Action for Believers

Oyedepo warned that any attack on church members invites fire and brimstone. Therefore, congregants must take spiritual responsibility. This includes praying for families and communities.

In conclusion, Oyedepo’s message inspires hope amid fear. Prayers now unite the faithful against insecurity.
