Police Launch Manhunt for “Extremely Dangerous” Drill Rapper Who Escaped Custody

Police are urgently searching for 21-year-old drill rapper Daniel Boakye, who escaped custody during a hospital visit. Boakye, also known by his rap name Dsavv, fled from West Middlesex Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, February 11, after being escorted there from HMP Feltham.

The Metropolitan Police were alerted around 3:30 a.m. that a prisoner had escaped while under the watch of prison staff.

Boakye was serving a six-year sentence for conspiracy to commit robbery and another robbery charge. He is believed to have ties to north London gangs and has released tracks like No Kiddin and Pocket Rocket.

A prison source called the escape a major security failure. “This is a huge mistake and a big embarrassment for the prison service,” the source said.

“Even though he’s in for robbery, Boakye the drill rapper is extremely dangerous and connected to serious gang members. He should have been double-cuffed—meaning cuffed to a guard—at all times. It seems an officer may have made a mistake and uncuffed him for some reason. Everyone at Feltham is shocked, and staff were informed by email at 8 a.m. Police are now working hard to find him because of the danger he poses.”

Boakye is thought to be linked to the OFB (Original Farm Boys) gang, based on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham. His music often references violent street crime.

Between June 2021 and January 2022, Boakye and three other teens carried out a string of robberies across London. Armed with knives, they forced victims to hand over phones, passcodes, and even transferred cryptocurrency into “hot wallets.”

The group stole over £115,000. They also used stolen bank details to buy top-up cards, pay for taxis, and make other fraudulent purchases. Detectives eventually tracked them down by linking takeaway orders to home addresses.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, we were informed by the Prison Service that a prisoner had escaped custody while under their care at a west London hospital.

“The prisoner is a 21-year-old man. While the investigation is ongoing, we cannot share further details. Officers are working urgently to locate him and return him to custody.”

The Prison Service added: “We are working closely with the Metropolitan Police to recapture this prisoner and investigating how he managed to escape.”

Police have warned the public not to approach the drill rapper Boakye if they see him. Instead, they should contact authorities immediately with any information about his whereabouts.
