A young widow broke down in tears during the ongoing “Occupy the National Assembly” protest in Abuja. As she shared her heartbreaking story. She revealed that her husband was kidnapped and killed just one year after their wedding. Despite the family paying the ransom demanded by the abductors.
The emotional widow story deeply touched the protesters, many of whom were moved to tears by her pain and loss.
“My husband was kidnapped, and they killed him after collecting the ransom, just a year after our wedding,” she cried. Lamenting how insecurity has destroyed her family and countless others across the country.
Her emotional testimony added a human face to the protest, which was organised to demand electoral reforms, improved governance, and accountability.
