President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace, strengthening national security, and improving economic opportunities across Nigeria.
The message was delivered by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during the memorial of former Kogi State Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu, in Lokoja.
Federal Government Expands Security Measures
Idris stated that the Federal Government is actively confronting threats to national stability. “The recently declared State of Emergency on national security shows our effort to expand manpower, modernize intelligence, and advance State Police,” he explained.
The Minister highlighted that reforming Nigeria’s security structure is crucial for lasting peace. Furthermore, the government is engaging diplomatically to counter false narratives about the nation’s religious harmony.
2025 Budget Prioritizes Defence and Security
According to Idris, the 2025 budget allocates N4.91 trillion to defence and security. This funding prioritizes modernization of infrastructure and the welfare of security personnel.
In summary, President Tinubu’s administration continues to focus on national security, peace, and economic growth through strategic reforms and investments.
