Troops Repel Boko Haram Attack in Borno Killing Three Commanders and Over 80 Insurgents

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai repelled a Boko Haram attack in Mallam Fatori Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State. As reported by ALO360 the soldiers killed three high profile commanders and more than 80 insurgents. Officials acted swiftly on Wednesday March 18 2026 to defend the community and restore security.

Operation Hadin Kai Launches Counter Attack

Brigadier General Mohammed Musa coordinated the response as theatre commander of Operation Hadin Kai. Consequently his troops engaged the insurgents in a fierce gun battle and repelled the assault without delay.

Moreover the forces neutralised three high profile Boko Haram commanders during the clash. The soldiers also eliminated more than 80 fighters at the scene.

Military Confirms Major Victory

Lieutenant Colonel Danladi Yusuf addressed the outcome as spokesman for Operation Hadin Kai. “The troops killed three high profile commanders and over 80 insurgents during the operation” he stated.

In addition the military recovered large caches of arms ammunition and motorcycles from the terrorists. Therefore the area returned to calm after the successful defence.

Commanders Praise Troops Effort

Brigadier General Mohammed Musa commended the soldiers bravery. “We remain committed to eliminating terrorism in the north east” he added.

As a result the Nigerian Army strengthened patrols around Abadam Local Government Area. Furthermore intelligence teams continue to track remaining Boko Haram elements in the region.
