Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Türkiye aims to reach a $5 billion trade volume with Nigeria.
He spoke on Tuesday in Ankara.
According to Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Erdogan made the statement during a joint press briefing with Tinubu.
The briefing took place during Tinubu’s state visit to Türkiye.

Erdogan says both countries have begun discussions to reach the $5 billion target.
He said the newly established Joint Economy and Trade Committee will help expand Turkish investments in Nigeria.
The committee will also deepen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Erdogan Praises Tinubu’s Economic Reforms
Erdogan commended Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s economic development.
He described the presence of Nigerian ministers and senior officials as clear evidence of political determination.
He said both leaders reviewed bilateral relations in trade, investment, energy, education, and defence.
