US President Donald Trump told lawmakers on Monday that the war against Iran could end soon. He did not confirm any definite timeline for the conclusion.
“It’s going to be ended soon, and if it starts up again they’ll be hit even harder,” Trump told lawmakers on Monday.
Trump Explains Meaning of Soon
However, Trump clarified his statement when pressed for details. When asked whether “soon” meant in a week, Trump responded, “No, but I think soon”.
Trump Warns Iran Against Blocking Oil
Later, Trump issued a strong warning about the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that if Iran stopped the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz, “they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far”.
Iran Responds to Trump Comments
In response, Iran pushed back firmly against the prediction. Iranian officials declared that they would determine when the war ended.“
