Former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has openly and unequivocally restated his unwavering loyalty and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections. Ambode, who served as governor from 2015 to 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made a public declaration reaffirming his commitment to both the party and its national leader, President Tinubu.

In a detailed and emphatic statement issued on Saturday, Ambode rejected recent reports suggesting he might be considering a return to elective politics under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Ambode highlights Tinubu’s qualities

He went further to commend President Tinubu’s leadership qualities, characterizing him as a visionary, highly capable, and results-driven leader. Ambode highlighted some of the President’s notable policy initiatives and reforms, which he believes are already yielding significant benefits for the country. These include the restructuring of pension systems, expansion of student loan opportunities, youth empowerment programs, and initiatives aimed at spurring national economic development.

Ambode also applauded the administration’s achievements in ending the long-standing fuel scarcity issue, improving national security architecture, and implementing people-centered policies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for average Nigerians.
