Nigeria’s Army Boss Arrives in Liberia for 69th Armed Forces Day Event

Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff of the Nigerian Army, arrived in Monrovia, Liberia, on an official visit. The Armed Forces of Liberia invited him to join the 69th Armed Forces Day celebration on February 11, 2026.

Major General Davidson Forley, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia, received Shaibu at the airport. Shaibu inspected a Guard of Honour that troops mounted. This ceremony highlighted mutual respect between the two militaries.
