American rapper and streamer DDG is making headlines after sharing a personal rule he follows when it comes to spending money on women.
As reported by Complex, DDG revealed that he doesn’t buy gifts for a woman he’s dating. Unless he’s already given something similar—or better—to his mother first. For him, doing otherwise just “feels wrong.”
The rapper explained that many people assume he’s a “big spender”. When it comes to women, but he has clear boundaries. For example, before buying a watch for a girlfriend, he made sure to buy one for his mom first. The same rule applies to bigger purchases, like cars, which he says he’s bought for his mother multiple times.
DDG also shared his thoughts on spending in relationships. While he’s fine with splurging on dates. He draws the line at paying a woman’s rent or buying her a house outright. The only exception, he said, would be if it’s a home they both share.
The rapper, who previously dated singer and actress Halle Bailey, shares a young son with her.
