President Bola Tinubu says his administration’s economic reforms are producing results.
Tinubu spoke during a one-day work visit to Adamawa state. Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
During the visit, the president commissioned projects executed by Umaru Fintiri, governor of Adamawa, in Yola.
Tinubu Defends Ongoing Reforms
Tinubu said his administration will sustain the reforms. He added that the government will focus more on inclusion and citizen empowerment.
According to him, the reforms are already driving visible transformation across states, especially in education, health and infrastructure.
“That is the consequence of us working together, and we will achieve more macroeconomic successes,” Tinubu said.
“We must be able to feed ourselves, feed the country.”
Furthermore, he said the solidarity between the federal government and subnational governments remains encouraging. He urged governors to continue carrying the people along.
President Links Policies to Higher State Allocations
Tinubu said the repositioning of the economy has increased federal allocations to states.
As a result, he noted, governors now execute major projects that directly impact livelihoods.
He commended Fintiri for using the funds to build roads and educational institutions.
“You’re reflecting the true commitment of a government of the people, by the people and for the people,” he said.
“You’re truly a reflection of who we are as a people united to achieve for our great nation.”
He also praised the governor’s investments in education, describing them as a strong commitment to the state’s development.
Projects Commissioned in Yola
Tinubu highlighted the construction of an eight-lane road and an underpass designed to ease mobility and stimulate commerce.
In addition, he pointed to a modern high court complex built by the state government.
He said the facility will strengthen the administration of justice.
The president urged governors to channel more resources into poverty reduction, stressing the need to improve the quality of education for children.
Tinubu maintained that sustained reforms and effective use of public funds will drive long-term prosperity across the country.
