Former Nollywood actor and Lagos lawmaker, Desmond Elliot, appears to have returned to the movie industry after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fresh photos circulating on social media showed Elliot on a movie set with fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta. The duo appeared to be discussing scenes during what looked like an ongoing film production.
The photos quickly sparked reactions online. Many social media users said they were excited to see Elliot back on screen after spending years in active politics.
Elliot recently lost the APC primary for Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare secured the party’s ticket after polling an overwhelming majority of the votes.
Although Elliot has not publicly confirmed a return to acting, his appearance on the movie set has fuelled speculation that the Nollywood star is making a comeback while continuing his political career.
