Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), announced on Thursday that the new court of appeal complex under construction in Abuja will reach completion in May 2026. He made this disclosure following an inspection of the judicial facility and accompanying judges’ quarters.
The minister conducted the site visit as part of a broader tour of ongoing infrastructure projects across the FCT. Consequently, he assessed the current state of construction at both the court complex and the residential quarters designed for appeal court judges.

Wike spoke to journalists after the inspection. He stated, “The court of appeal complex under construction in Abuja will be completed in May 2026.”
