The Nigerian Christian community and gospel music industry are grieving the loss of beloved gospel minister and evangelist, Toun Soetan.
Her family announced the sad news on social media on Friday, March 13, 2026, the same day she passed away.
In their statement, the family wrote: “We announce the home calling of our dear mother, Evangelist Rachel Olatoun Soetan. She called to glory this morning, Friday, March 13, 2026. Please join us in comforting Daddy Soetan and the entire family.”
Details about the cause of her death have not been shared.
Toun Soetan a highly respected evangelist and worship leader with a ministry that spanned decades. She was well-known for gospel hits like Iye Ree, Gbe Jesus Ga, and Train Up Your Child.
