The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a new citizen engagement platform featuring an artificial intelligence-powered assistant.
The initiative, unveiled in Abuja by the agency’s Director-General Lanre Issa-Onilu, is aimed at improving communication between the government and citizens through smarter, faster digital interaction.
CLHEEAN App Introduces AI Assistant
At the center of the initiative is the CLHEEAN mobile app, which integrates AI technology to respond to citizen inquiries, provide information, and guide users on government services.
The platform is expected to simplify how Nigerians access public information, report concerns, and stay informed about policies and national programmes. By leveraging AI, the NOA aims to make engagement more efficient and accessible to a wider audience.
A Shift in Government Communication Strategy
Issa-Onilu described the launch as a major shift in how the government interacts with citizens—moving from traditional communication methods to a more interactive, tech-driven approach.
The platform is also expected to help the government better understand public sentiment, gather feedback, and respond more effectively to citizens’ needs.
Driving Transparency and Inclusion
The initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in governance.
By providing a direct communication channel, the NOA hopes to bridge the gap between citizens and public institutions while encouraging more active participation in national development.
The new AI-powered platform signals a digital transformation in citizen-government engagement—making information more accessible and interaction more responsive.
