Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child with partner Christopher Abbott, just one year after the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Jeff Baena.
According to a source, Aubrey and Christopher’s baby is due this fall, though the couple has not yet revealed the baby’s gender.
This joyful news comes after a difficult year for Aubrey, who faced immense grief following Jeff’s passing.
Aubrey Plaza and Christopher first collaborated in 2019 on the psychological drama Black Bear. A source described the pregnancy as a “beautiful surprise” for the couple, adding, “They feel very blessed.”
“It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” the source told People magazine.
The couple reunited professionally three years ago for the Off-Broadway revival of John Patrick Shanley’s Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, which ran until January 2024.
While Aubrey and Christopher have kept their relationship mostly private, they were spotted together on Valentine’s Day this year at Khaite’s Fall/Winter 2026 show during New York Fashion Week.
It’s worth noting that Aubrey and Jeff had separated four months before his tragic passing.
