Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa state, says he is fully committed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and wants President Bola Tinubu to win the 2027 election.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Sule said he has no reason to engage in anti-party activities, especially as he prepares to leave office.
“I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to do anti-party. This is the time I want APC to win in all positions in my state,” he said.
He added that his support for Tinubu is driven by confidence in the administration’s policies.
“This is the time I want President Bola Tinubu to win his election more than any other time because I believe in his economic reforms,” he said.
Sule said the reforms have benefited Nasarawa state.
“His economic reforms have been very beneficial to Nasarawa,” he added.
On allegations that the APC is weakening opposition parties, Sule said such claims are misplaced.
“If you ask the PDP who is destroying them, they will mention individuals, not necessarily the APC,” he said.
He argued that internal crises within opposition parties are responsible for their challenges.
“When people have their own problems, they should find a way to resolve them. It’s not APC per se,” he said.
Sule also dismissed claims that the ruling party is undermining opposition structures across the country.
“I’m doing nothing in my state to destroy the PDP, ADC, PRP or any other party. We are just doing our work,” he said.
He added that the performance of the APC could be a factor influencing political dynamics.
“If anything is affecting them, it is our performance,” he said.
