Tanzanian singer Zuchu confirms her split from Diamond Platnumz, saying they are going through a divorce after six years together.
Tanzanian music star Zuchu has confirmed that her relationship with fellow singer Diamond Platnumz has officially ended. The award-winning singer shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram Story. She revealed that they are now separated and are going through a divorce after spending six years together. The announcement has surprised many fans across Africa, especially after reports claimed they got married in a private ceremony in June 2025.
In her emotional post, Zuchu said the decision was not easy. However, she explained that she had chosen to put herself first.
“Hello my GPG. My former partner and I are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I have finally decided to choose myself.”
She also wished Diamond, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul, and his family well. According to her, this is the right time to focus on her healing, health and music career.
The singer also reflected on their journey together.
“Our provision has come to an end. Praise be to Allah. We tried, but Allah has His own plans, and I have no choice but to accept them. That is human nature; that is life. Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal Wakeel.”
