The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has opened applications for several job vacancies and invited qualified Nigerians to apply before the application deadline.
The Mission announced the recruitment exercise in a statement shared on its official X account and website on Saturday. It encouraged interested candidates to visit its careers portal to view available positions and complete their applications.
Embassy invites qualified Nigerians to apply
According to the Mission, the recruitment exercise offers opportunities across different professional fields.
“The U.S. Mission Nigeria is hiring for new job openings, and we’re inviting qualified candidates to apply! Visit our Job Opportunities page to explore the latest vacancies and submit your application: ng.usembassy.gov/jobs/”
The Mission urged applicants to review the requirements for each role before submitting their applications.
Available positions
Among the vacancies listed are Consulate General Residence (CGR) Vegetarian Chef, Agricultural Specialist, Emerging Voices Exchanges Coordinator I, Procurement Agent, and Surveillance Detection Coordinator.
Applicants have until August 4, 2026, to submit their applications through the official recruitment portal.
The Mission advised interested candidates to complete the application process before the closing date to avoid missing the opportunity.
U.S. Mission warns against recruitment scams
The U.S. Mission also cautioned applicants against fraudulent recruitment schemes. It stressed that it does not charge any fee at any stage of its hiring process.
“The U.S. Mission does not require payment for any aspect of our recruitment process. All Job announcements are listed on this website. Be cautious and aware of any one requesting for payments or your card/banking details.”
The Mission advised job seekers to rely only on information published on its official website and avoid anyone requesting money or sensitive banking details in connection with the recruitment exercise.
