Oyemykke has warned Nigerians against asking Tyla to cancel her Lagos show, saying it could affect Nigerians living in South Africa.

“There are still millions of Nigerians in South Africa. Telling Tyla not to perform in Nigeria is risky for Nigerians there.”

“There are still a lot of Nigerians in South Africa, so telling Tyla not to come here will trigger another madness there.”
Instead of pushing for a ban, Oyemykke suggested another approach. He advised those who disagree with Tyla to simply avoid supporting the concert. According to him, refusing to buy tickets or attend the show would send a stronger message without putting Nigerians abroad at risk.
