Ooni of Ife Welcomes Baby Girl with Wife Olori Tosin

The palace is in celebration as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has welcomed another child. The respected monarch announced the arrival of a baby girl with his wife, Olori Oluwatosin, through his Instagram page. Soon after the announcement, fans, well-wishers, and royal supporters flooded social media with congratulatory messages. The latest addition has brought more joy to the royal household.

While sharing the good news, the Ooni thanked God for the special blessing. He also confirmed that both mother and daughter are doing very well. He wrote:

“To God Almighty be all the glory for His unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa for the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin. May the Almighty preserve this divine gift and cause her to flourish in wisdom, grace, and honour. We are pleased to share that both Olori Oluwatosin and the Royal Princess are in excellent health.”

This joyful news comes just months after the monarch welcomed twin boys with his wife, Olori Mariam. Before then, he also welcomed twins with Olori Tobi Phillips and a baby boy with Olori Ashley. With the birth of the new princess, the Ooni has continued to expand the royal family. Many Nigerians have joined the celebration and wished the family more happiness.

The Ooni’s family life has remained a major topic of public interest. After his marriage to Olori Naomi ended, he married six wives within three months. They include Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke, and Olori Temitope.

Speaking during his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, the monarch explained that tradition influenced his decision. He said he tried to make changes but could not because of the cultural heritage of Ile-Ife. He also recalled how people once questioned a king without a queen. According to him, God later gave him peace, and today, he has queens across the palace.
