Adekunle Gold Confirms Birth of Son, Dismisses Twin Rumours

Adekunle Gold Clears Up Twin Speculation

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has denied reports claiming he and his wife, Simi, welcomed twins.

The singer clarified the situation during an interview on the morning television show Great Day Houston on KHOU 11 in Houston.

When the host mentioned reports that the couple welcomed twins earlier this year, Adekunle Gold immediately corrected the statement.

“That’s the internet, by the way. We have a son,” he said during the interview.

Couple Expands Family

The couple already shares a six-year-old daughter.

Adekunle Gold described life with Simi as rewarding, especially because they both work in music.

According to him, they regularly exchange creative ideas and support each other’s songwriting process at home.

He also revealed that their daughter already shows interest in music.

Singer Discusses New Album

During the interview, Adekunle Gold spoke about his latest album, Fuji Xtra, which he released on the same day as the interview.

The singer explained that his sound combines traditional fuji music with modern production styles.

He described the genre as “electrofuji,” a high-energy blend driven by percussion and contemporary sounds.

Adekunle Gold also noted that his band name, 79th Element, reflects gold’s atomic number on the periodic table.

Social Media Post Sparked Rumours

Rumours about twins began circulating in January after Adekunle Gold shared a cryptic Snapchat post.

In the message, he wrote that he asked God for another child and received a double blessing.

The post included a picture of two baby outfits labelled “Double Trouble,” which led many fans and entertainment blogs to assume the couple welcomed twins.
