Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred conversations online after revealing why she destroyed the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor Alex Ekubo.
The actress shared the reason on her Instagram Stories. According to her, the decision came after advice from her Godmother. Angela explained that she was told not to keep clothes worn to burial ceremonies. She then chose to follow the instruction and also share it with others.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you; you burn them,” she said.
Shortly after, Angela posted a video of the outfit before getting rid of it. She said the advice was new to her and felt her family, friends and followers should know about it. She also reflected on the loss of the late actor while praying for God’s protection over loved ones.
“So family and friends take note. I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life. Amen. Chai,” she added.
