Apostle Joshua Aghasedo has sparked a fresh debate over adult toys and marriage. The cleric shared his views while discussing intimacy between married couples. According to him, adult toys can help couples improve their intimate life. He also stressed that his comments apply only within marriage.
Aghasedo compared adult toys with everyday technology, including cars and phones.
“Is using a sex toy a sin? Let’s hear the grace,” he asked.
He questioned whether using a car or phone is automatically sinful.
“Is driving a car, is it a sin? A car to drive you from here to Dallas, is it a sin? Using the phone, is it a sin?” he said
The cleric also said he had never personally used an adult toy. However, he described such products as modern equipment for couples.
“I have never used a sex toy. But in this modern day of technology, it’s an equipment.
He explained that adult toys could help couples complete their intimate duties.
“It can help you do the job to 90%, and you finish the remaining 10%,” he said.
Aghasedo also revealed that he once suggested an adult toy to a married couple. He said their situation influenced his advice. His goal, he explained, was to help prevent problems within the relationship.
“I have suggested sex toy to a couple before, when I look at all the surrounding circumstances, so that somebody is not going out and do those things. It’s an equipment to help the process. We are talking within the framework of marriage, not outside,” he added.
Meanwhile, the cleric drew a clear line between marriage and being single.
“Sex toy is only for married couple,” he stated.
He argued that using such an item alone falls under masturbation. Aghasedo then linked masturbation with fornication based on his religious interpretation.
His comments have since generated conversations about faith, marriage and modern intimacy. The debate also shows how religious views can clash with changing relationship practices.
