Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about his fallout with fellow rapper Odumodublvck. He revealed that their feud started over a woman they were both involved with.
Speaking on the Nevon Podcast, Blaqbonez said he had no idea the woman was dating Odumodublvck. He said their relationship was never official. However, they were friends who were also intimate.
“The best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits,” he explained.
The situation changed after the woman told Blaqbonez she could no longer continue their friendship. He felt the message was “performative” and decided to ask her directly who she was dating. She then revealed that she was with Odumodublvck. Blaqbonez said he immediately chose to step away and respect their relationship.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace,” he said.
However, things reportedly became tense when Odumodublvck called him. According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck asked if he had been intimate with the woman. Blaqbonez refused to answer because he did not know what she had told him.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question,” he said.
Odumodublvck allegedly replied,
“Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
Blaqbonez said he later asked when Odumodublvck’s relationship with the woman began. He believed the timeline could clear up the misunderstanding. However, he claimed Odumodublvck refused to reveal when they started dating. That response, he said, pushed the situation further and eventually contributed to their feud.
