Nigerian businessman and social media personality BLord has claimed that a bank offered him a ₦12 billion loan. He said he initially requested ₦5 billion to expand his gadget business.
According to BLord, the bank contacted him after reviewing his request. He claimed the bank questioned why he asked for only ₦5 billion.
The businessman said the lender believed his business could handle a bigger loan. He shared the claim on social media while explaining the alleged offer. He said,
“I talked to a bank to give me ₦5billion loan to increase the importation capacity of my gadget business. The bank called me today saying why am I asking for just N5B that I should take ₦12Billion because they know it’s BLord.”
The claim has since sparked reactions online. Some Nigerians are questioning why he needs such a huge loan. Others are curious about the bank behind the alleged offer. Meanwhile, some social media users have expressed surprise at the amount involved.
BLord, however, has not publicly revealed the bank’s name.
